Project Educate: Photographing Your Crafts...
:bigthumb284458869:
Photographing crafts is not as daunting as it seems. For those of you out there with amazing creative streaks in you, it isn't actually that difficult to take it one step further and put the effort into snapping your wonderful creations. It just takes a little planning, a camera and some creativity.

The Don'ts...
Rule Number One
Never ever ever ever ever Photograph something on your bed. Ever. I mean it! Your bed is for sleeping, and er, other things. But definitely not for placing your well constructed craft item upon, pointing your camera at, and pressing the button.

Introduction to Polymer Clay
Polymer clay is a modeling compound consisting mainly of polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and plasticizes to make it pliable. As you can see it's easy to define polymer clay, but there's no possible way to describe all the variety of things that can be achieved with it.

A Word About deviantART by projecteducate, journal
A Word About deviantART
The internet can be a terrible distraction when what you mean to do is get up, uncap those tubes of paint, and do your best to commit the image that's behind your eyes to some vague approximation on canvas.
Art takes time-- time to scale your own wilderness, sometimes in the dark-- and the internet has a way of leaching every last hour from the day before you've even noticed it's gone.
Then, one day, you stumble on to dA, and there they are: your actual peers, throughout the world, all striving for the same things you've been striving for; some are offering sage advice, some are heaping abuse wherever it will land, and a few are just killin

Talty (https://www.deviantart.com/talty) is an amazingly talented artist who does wonders in turning her imagination into reality with her skilled hands. She’s in Mexico, so any passionate traveller or anyone living there should pay her a visit at some point and then prepare to be amazed. I asked her a few questions about what she’s doing and I really hope you’ll find her answers both inspiring and helpful. Enjoy!

How did you first discover deviantART?
:squee: Back in middle school a few friends and I used to RP and when we looked up inspiration, fan fic, and fan art, deviantART was a site that came up frequently. When I picked up photography after becoming home schooled, I remembered it and thought it would be a great fun place to get feedback and interact with other artists! Since MySpace and FaceBook weren't very reliable or diverse.
What was it about dA that made you want to stay?

I instantly fell in love with the illustration. I've been following Toia's work since then and going further than just loving it, it was her work what motivated me to follow the path of illustrating for children. Back in the day when I was still trying to develope an artistic style of my own, I found Toia and realized there is a whole world of illustrations with that childish feeling, images that take you back to your childhood, fr
